Commission Junction (CJ) is the leading global affiliate marketing network. Unlike Pay Per Click advertising, affiliate marketing lets you decide if you will pay for a click, a lead, a sale, a newsletter sign-up, or any other action that is important to your business. You can tap into CJ's vast network of affiliates, who are ready to promote your business and generate leads and sales for you, only pay when you get a result! CJ handles everything, pays your affiliates for you, serves your adverts, and provides reporting. There are fees involved to use the service. CJ is aimed at businesses with online sales that generate at least 1 million dollars annually, so it is not for those just starting out.Commission Junction
ShareASale (SAS) is another very popular affiliate network, with a large number of affiliates that will promote your products or services. You only have to pay when an action has taken place that you define, for example a product sale or a newsletter sign-up. SAS handles paying your affiliates, serves your adverts, and provides reporting. As with Commission Junction, there are fees involved to use the service. Unlike Commission Junction, SAS is suitable for businesses that are just starting out and have not achieved high sales yet.ShareASale

Post Affiliate Pro (PAP) is affiliate software that lets you run your own affiliate program. You can run it from their hosting service for a monthly fee, or buy it and install on your own hosting service. It is a great tool to recruit and manage your affiliates. It will track your affiliate's referrals, clicks, commissions, record payouts, and much more. Unlike Commission Junction and ShareASale, you do not have access to a large number of affiliates in a network, you have to recruit your affiliates yourself. You are also responsible for paying your affiliates, which is all handled in the software. However, on the other hand you are managing your affiliate program your way, and will not incur affiliate network fees.Post Affiliate Pro
